چکیده
Abstract We report a systematic study that quantifies nitrogen retention and ammonia production on tungsten sheds light the mechanism for formation ITER’s divertor material. Saturation of nitrogen-implanted layer in polycrystalline is observed at room temperature ion fluence low 10 21 N + m −2 range. Nitrogen desorption from this N-implanted occurs 800–1100 K range exhibits zero-order kinetics with an activation energy 1.45 eV prefactor 5 × 24 s −1 . Following deuterium co-implantation, deuterated during programmed between 350 650 conjunction desorption. In contrast, still above 800 K. Significant obtained only when created by implantation approaching saturation amount lost to percent This result understood repeating cycles thermo-desorption below layer. The exponential decay produced cycle number demonstrates diffusion surface negligible outermost maximum quantity present implanted 2 18 ND 3 , which limited atom density. Surface vibrational spectroscopy presence precursors upon implantation. These can be also through dissociative chemisorption thermal D catalysed and, more efficiently, adsorption atoms.

Tungsten nanoparticles from liquid-ammonia-based synthesis.
Tungsten nanoparticles were obtained from liquid-ammonia-based synthesis via reduction of WCl6 with dissolved sodium. The W(0) nanoparticles exhibit a diameter of 1-2 nm and can be dispersed in alkanes, showing a grayish-orange color due to red-shifted plasmon resonance absorption.
متن کاملBatch Study on COD and Ammonia Nitrogen Removal Using Granular Activated Carbon and Cockle Shells
Landfills generate leachate that contains elevated concentration of contaminants and is hazardous to human health and the ecosystem. In this study, the mixture of granular activated carbon and cockle shells was investigated for remediation of COD and ammonia from stabilized landfill leachate. All adsorbent media were sieved to a particle size between 2.00 and 3.35 mm. The optimum mixing ratio, ...
متن کاملImpact of beryllium surface layers on deuterium retention in tungsten
In ITER mixed Be/W layers are likely to form and their retention behavior is unknown. A series of ITER-grade tungsten samples have been exposed in PISCES-B to deuterium plasma at 300oC, with and without beryllium impurity seeding of the plasma. If the beryllium concentration is small, the majority of the incident beryllium is re-eroded from the sample surface and only a few nm thick layer of mi...
